Seabrook Real Estate Information

Seabrook is a relatively small community situated in the southeastern region of the state of New Hampshire. Seabrook has a population of approximately eight thousand residents, although its possible that those numbers have changed since the last census was taken in the year two thousand. Seabrook is located in Rockingham County, and is found on the border between Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Seabrook also contributes to the energy independence of the US as it is the site of the Seabrook Nuclear Power Station. Seabrook has the nickname of “the Brook”, and shares some of the rare coastline of the state of New Hampshire with a number of neighboring towns. Seabrook encompasses a total area of approximately nine and a half square miles, including a little less than a square mile of water.

Seabrook is a generally flat community in terms of elevation, and neighbors on the Massachusetts community of Salisbury. Seabrook is currently governed by a three person Board of Selectmen, including Chairman Robert Moore, Brendan Kelly, and Aboul Khan. Seabrook is a relatively homogeneous community, a fact at least partially explained by the relatively affluent reputation of the town. The area which is now considered Seabrook was originally inhabited by Native Americans, as was almost the entire United States prior to the arrival of European settlers. Seabrook was officially incorporated as a town of the state of New Hampshire in the year seventeen sixty eight, making it about middle aged by the standards of New England and the Granite State.

Educational opportunities in the town of Seabrook are met primarily by the SAU 21 School District, which maintains a number of local schools, including Hampton Centre School, Hampton Academy Junior High School, Seabrook Elementary School, and Seabrook Middle School. Other regional schools include the New Hampshire Academy of Performing Arts, Winnacunnet High School, Sacred Heart School, and the Sparhawk School. Recreational attractions and parks in and around Seabrook include the Tide Water Campground, Hampton Beach Casino, and the Black Bear Campgrounds. Other points of interest in and around Seabrook include Hampton Beach State Park, Beach Rose RV Park, Maudslay State Park, and the Rusnick Campground.
